Kicked off 2014 on a ferry ride back to Seattle after an amazing tasting menu meal at Hitchcock.
Ferry goers counted down as fireworks erupted over the space needle. Couples young and old embraced — even babies were awake and enthusiastic.
There’s something special about being surrounded by strangers who all are present, hopeful and grateful.
Cheers to another year of continued adventures and to keeping the hopefulness of 12:01am alive all year long.

Nice note–thanks again Jori, for an uplifting moment! Brings back fond memories of living in and around Seattle. In Stillwater Minnesota, we celebrated NYE at minus 17 degrees F, and the only thing on the (frozen) water here were snowmobiles.
